ABOUT BRIAN

Before launching his professional counseling practice, Brian served in a variety of Christian ministry settings for over 30 years. He built trusting relationships with college student leaders while working in campus ministry at Rutgers University. Brian then earned his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and served as pastor at 3 congregations. During that time he developed weekly gatherings for both middle school and high school students, strengthening his ability to understand teenagers and establish rapport with them. Brian has also led a men’s “life transition” support group and currently serves on staff as the coordinator of counseling for Park Church in Tinton Falls, NJ. Brian also worked as substance abuse counselor at Veritas Recovery Center in South Amboy, NJ, and is familiar with the dynamics of addiction and the tools that lead to recovery.

For couples struggling with disconnection, Brian is committed to create a safe and affirming environment so couples can better understand and be understood by their partner. Employing Emotional Focus Therapy (EFT), he seeks to help couples repair damaged relationships and restore them to a healthier condition. Brian is certified as an EMDR trained therapist by EMDR Consulting. EMDR is a therapeutic intervention to treat traumatic memories.
